SplatmanBOO Haunted Forest

A word from the Haunt-coordinator :

Since we began our our haunt in 2004, we have noticed each year brings us new stories from patrons about the the spirits of our woods. Many of you may have gotten word that we had previously decided to cancel our event for 2008. This WAS true. There was worry amongst the staff that if even some of the stories were true, we didn’t want to risk the safety of our guests. Once word reached the community that we had cancelled our event, public outcry made it impossible for us to deny that some risks are WORTH IT. So with that in mind, we decided to chance it and run for ONE NIGHT ONLY for the 2008 season. As the event was so popular amongst guests, we will continue to run our event for ONE NIGHT ONLY – Saturday, October 27th, 2012.

Ask any member of Splatmandu Paintball club and they will tell you… they don’t go into the woods at night…. things seem to always come up missing. A few of us have even felt as though we were not alone out there. We aren’t talking the animals of the forest either. Personal accounts of trips into the woods after dark have left many terrified. Strange sightings of floating children, dark-cloaked women amongst the trees, strange non-human screams, just to name a few.

Many of you that have read our history of the Morrison Cemetery might have thought it was a ploy to attract more thrill-seekers. Well, to be honest, in the beginning it was partly true. The events that we described were based on actual events of Three Rivers history, but they were dramatized to fit in with the theme of Halloween and all things scary. Ever since we have begun this Haunt, the few sightings of things we weren’t orchestrating have grown exponentially- to the point of scaring away many of our actors from returning for a new year!

So to honor the TRUE fear that exists in our woods, we are hosting this event back by popular demand. Please come out and give us a try! We promise a great show… and as always, all proceeds benefit the Domestic Assault Shelter of Three Rivers, MI.

 Thank you for your time,

Jennifer

IMPORTANT NOTE: We would like to ask that those of you who have had experiences in our woods to please stop and tell our staff at the conclusion of your trip; we need to document these sightings. A few years back we were approached by the Northern Indiana Paranormal Society, and for our 2010 event, we were joined by Michigan Nightstalkers Paranormal Investigations. As always, if you would prefer to remain anonymous – you may also email your experience directly to jen@splatmandu.com and your information will be kept confidential.
